The idea for me to join Gentle Childbirth was birthed from my desire to continue serving women in Alabama, using my perspective obtained from my midwifery work.  I believe that pregnancy and birth are normal events within the spectrum of life.. Utilizing my familiarity with southern healthcare culture, I offer evidence-based, personalized, and holistic care tailored to each client's specific needs and requests while aiding them in navigating sometimes complex systems. I also wanted to join forces with women who have a similar view of the calling as doulas, being a wife, and motherhood.

Because of my nurse-midwifery training, certification, and previous RN experience,  I have gained expertise in low-intervention birth, including many clients choosing to attempt VBAC and hydrotherapy in labor. I enjoy incorporating many techniques to assist with comfort during labor and delivery including position changes, movement, massage and aromatherapy. I strive to be a partner alongside women and their families within their community so that they may feel loved and empowered in their experiences.

I am married and have one child, whose birth was attended by a certified nurse midwife. Some of my personal interests include international food, exploring new cities and fitness.   Clinical interests include global health and addressing health disparities. I have been actively involved with mentoring students, volunteering with the Christian Medical and Dental Associations since 2013, advocating for healthcare practitioner conscience and freedom protections on a national platform, and am current President of Coalition of Christian Nurse Practitioners. My family and I attend Grace Fellowship Church.
